iJoomla SEO Review

We at ‘corePHP’ absolutely love iJoomla. It’s a great company with all sorts of great products. One of our very favorite products is their SEO component. We’ve installed it ourselves, and so far it’s gone beyond our expectations. Want to increase traffic on your site? Try it! We’re sure you’ll love it just as much as we do.

INSTALLING THE COMPONENT

iJoomla is currently a commercial product, so they encrypt their license file. Make sure you have the ionCube encoder installed on your server. When this is squared away, install the component via the Joomla! installer. Once it is installed, you are ready to turn your site into a traffic magnet!

USING THE DASHBOARD:

This is one of the best features of the component. Some dashboards are unnecessarily confusing and have random items everywhere. iJoomla has designed a clean, intuitive dashboard that gets you exactly where you need to go, when you need to get there. Use the tree navigation or the icon set – whichever is easiest. Less thought and more action is always a good thing!

I should also mention that you can check your stats right on the dashboard. Talk about convenience!

CONFIGURING THE COMPONENT

Using the settings, you can configure options like replacements, keyword wrapping, descriptions, images, and keyword ranking. Set these options just the way you need them to improve SEO throughout your site.

THE FUN STUFF

Here are some of our favorite options that you can configure.

Internal Links: This is a great feature that lets your keywords link to partner sites. Once you’ve created a keyword and it shows up in content, it will automatically link to other internal menu items, articles, and external links.

Keywords: This is THE feature that will connect your site to search engines. It has all sorts of stats that will tell you exactly how your site is doing, and you can set it to keep an eye on your favorite keywords. It’s included as part of the package, so you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to purchase it separately.

MetaTags: Looking for a way to save time?  This section is your friend. You can automatically create meta titles, keywords, and descriptions from your content or from other meta tags.

MetaTags

Pages: These are a great way to view articles with a focus on SEO. Quickly see which outgoing links, phrases, and number of keywords occur in the articles, and edit them in a squeezebox view.

Redirects: Redirects let you use code snippets to represent link titles or images and their corresponding URLs. If there’s a link you have to create multiple times, use a snippet instead and paste it wherever you need it. You can also edit the snippet once instead of going through and editing each link individually. A great time saver!

UNFORTUNATELY, no component is completely perfect. Here are a few cons to watch out for.

1: This component puts ads in the configuration area, which takes up room that you might want to use for other purposes.

2: It’s commercial and encrypted, as we mentioned before. You can’t make changes to it without contacting the developer.

3: For some people, the price may seem high. We at ‘corePHP’ still feel it is worth it, because it will pay for itself when you get increased traffic and sales on your site.

OVERALL:

We found this component easy to configure with plenty of options that make it well worth the price. We feel that we’ve made a good choice in trying it out. We’re looking forward to seeing how this will increase traffic and sales. More news to come!

Thanks for bringing this component to my attention. Does the page manager also work with CorePHP WordPress posts? Along the same line, does the keyword rank tracker account for WordPress posts that might be ranking well on a term?

    Jesse,

iJoomla’s SEO extension is an aid for adding descriptions and keywords to Joomla’s articles. For WordPress you have the All in One SEO plugin that is really powerful and can add tags automatically.
