I have Community ACL installed and I have something very simple ( it seems to me) that I want it to do, but I cannot get it to do it.

I have a joomla installation with myself as super admin, and two others as administrators.
I want the administrators to be able to install and edit templates, but not have superadmin access to configuration files and components like eXtplorer, etc.

Basically, I just want to expand the administrator privileges to the template editor.

I've gone through and set it up per the instructions, creating the groups and roles and functions and including the Templates in the allowed lists, and putting the admins in the group, but they still don't have Templates available in the menu system, and even if I create a icon for it on the Control Panel, it gives them the 'You are not authorised to view this resource.' message.

Also, after installation of Community ACL, the Control Panel option is not available for them in the Site menu, so once they've navigated away from the start page, they cannot link back to it.

Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to set this up, and fix the lost Control Panel link?

Thanks

Eric Lewis

Hi Eric,

Thanks kobby, This project has been turned over to another developer, so I'm out on this one. If I need to set this up in the future, I'll submit through the support link.

Thanks
Eric
