I've been a user of the MyBlog component from Azrul.com for a while. It covers the basics but seems to be lacking in the many marketing oriented features that make Wordpress blogging so powerful.
If there is anyone here who has made the shift from MyBlog to Wordpress MU, I'd be very interested in getting feedback on this process and how to complete the migration in the easiest manner.
I'm also interested in learning the features of Wordpress MU that make it a more powerful marketing tool. To me, this is the primary goal of blogging, to bring greater awareness of your brand, products and services to the web, search engines and social media sites.
Although I am pretty experienced with Joomla, I still consider myself a beginner when it comes to blogging and the many benefits of doing it effectively.
I'm unsure whether to limit blogs to registered users on my site. What is the most common practice with this? My primary aim is to have a blog for myself but I can see the benefits of opening this up to other users. It will give them a platform on which they can promote themselves on the web and we can build community.
My website is breakthroughcoaching.cc. We're a coaching company and also growing a transformational learning community. It seems that blogging could be a powerful addition to the community aspect.
I'd appreciate any and all comments here that could be helpful in my transition to a truly optimum blogging solution. Thank you!
