I have installed wordpress component, installation successful, but when I try and open the blog, I get this error :

Warning: require(/home/property/public_html/images/wordpress/themes/default/s5_no_moo_menu.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/property/public_html/templates/new_architect/index.php on line 101

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/property/public_html/images/wordpress/themes/default/s5_no_moo_menu.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/property/public_html/templates/new_architect/index.php on line 101.

I am using a New Architect Joomla template from Shape5.com.

I have to admit the lack of documentation and the extreme unfriendliness of your website is rather off-putting. When registering for the website, I had to redo the process 4 times, because you impose password rules WITHOUT INFORMING the user of what those rules are. And why on earth have strong passwords on a user forum in the first place? And why forcing the user to register once on your own website and once on your support forum?

I do hope your service is better than your website.

Many thanks

I have in the meantime resolved the issue, by copying the appropriate template files into the /images/wordpress/defaults directory. I have also opened a ticket in your help desk, but, thanks to its extreme user unfriendliness, I have no way to retrieve and close the ticket. So please close the ticket  - btw you may have noticed by now that I have a thing about usability ... ;-)

However, now I have a different issue. I have created a menu item "blog" with a title and alias of "blog" on my main Joomla menu.

When I hover over this menu item, it indicates that the URL is www.barbaratate.co.uk/blog.html/, similar to the aliases it uses for all the other links. Clicking the link, however, results in a 404 error. The blog still opens succesfully if I go straight to http://www.barbaratate.co.uk/index.php?option=com_wordpress. How do I solve this problem?

ALSO

My header image does not appear, even though I have specified it in the menu item's parameters in Joomla

Thanks

Hannes

I had a similar error with the s5_no_moo_menu.php

I resolved the problem by placing a clean copy of it from my Joomla template I am using in the appropriate WP directory and I was up an running.

I had access to both front and back end but then I changed some blog settings and then things went to hell in a hand basket. I am now struggling with the following error

The blog you have requested is not installed properly. Please contact the system administrator.

The problem seemed to be cascading. First I had not front end but had back end access and now that I have logged back into Joomla to work on it, I have neither.

Very confused  ???  ???  ???

This happens a lot with these shape5 template.

The developers create a new constant called TEMPLATEPATH, then they only use it twice through their template, which not only causes conflicts with WordPress for Joomla! but I believe it also does for JCal Pro. Why create a new constant when you are going to use it twice. This is why variables were invented. It is really frustrating.

Anyway... the fix is to open the index.php file for your template and then rename the variable from TEMPLATEPATH to TEMPLATEPATH2 everywhere that it appears normally just in that index.php file.

I'm getting exactly the same errors, however I'm using YouJoomla templates...

I was under the impression that this plug in would use the template being used on the Joomla install.

I'm actually very disappointed in the mini manual that came with the installation. I'm am now completely confused. Do I need to install a standalone version of Wordpress to make this work  or not? I haven't installed Wordpress standalone yet if that is the case.

I tried changing the file as you mentioned, and it broke my site.  The site would not load after making this change.  Can you please try to get a hold of me?  so that I can have you look at the file???  I can email you the index.php file...
