I am trying to install the Wordpress component in Joomla ( 1.5.8 ) and I am getting the following error:

==============
Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

Warning: zip_read() expects parameter 1 to be resource, integer given in /home/content/b/a/t/batfan04/html/testarea/azfec/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 234

Warning: zip_close() expects parameter 1 to be resource, integer given in /home/content/b/a/t/batfan04/html/testarea/azfec/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 250
===============

I just downloaded the component today so I would assume that it is the newest version (2.6.5.3).

This issue is in a result to certain servers. We have yet been able to isolate the issue other then the following solution:

Unpack the package to your desktop and repackage it and then install. Should work right now.

Thank you Steven, that worked.

No offense but, you guys really need to iron out this process.  This is not my first rodeo.  I've been using Wordpress and Joomla for quite some time now and I have been trying to purchase/install this component for the last 24 hours

From forcing me to setup a Paypal account and waiting for them to 'verify' my CC, to your confirmation emails which don't give instructions on how to download the component* and then, this error during installation.

The whole process is just a little frustrating and is not very time efficient.

*There are no download instructions in the email.  When you go to the 'My Account' section of the site and click the 'Downloads' link, it asks you for a 'Download ID', which I had to call your technical support (long distance) to find out that I don't need.  The gentleman on the phone was kind enough to explain that you guys had not yet updated your email template and he directed me to the correct page.

Still having problems with this error - after what looks like 2 years (2008). Here is the error:
libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 234.
What can be done to allow me to install this component correctly?
Regards,
Mark

Mark,

Are you using the WordPress for Joomla! 2.x or 3.x? This problem was resolved back in 2008 and has yet to occur for anyone since. Can you please tell me the last time you downloaded the package?
