I have just moves my site to a new server and am running v 1.1
When I try to upload photos I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function __() in /home/www/domain.com/htdocs/administrator/components/com_jphoto/helpers/imagehelper.php on line 210

Can you tell me where to look for a solution.

This error refers to something about GD is not installed but it is on this server.

Thank you

You can download JPhoto by:
1. Logging into the site.
2. Clicking the "Downloads" link
3. Clicking the red "Download" button to the right of JPhoto
4. Clicking JPhoto on the Components tab.

Ok, now I have 2 versions of jphoto, neither are working.

I uninstalled the 1.1 version and re- installed the 1.4 version.
When I upload images the name shows in the list after upload but no thumbnail image.
and when I save changes and click "View Gallery" it's the same issue, only the file name is showing, no image. I can publish a gallery to the front end but all that shows is the file name with no image.

What are the requirements for jphoto? Does GD need to be installed on the server?
Could that be the problem?

Yes, JPhoto will not work without GD per the notice on the products page.  Can you elaborate on this previous statement: "This error refers to something about GD is not installed but it is on this server."

Does that means you looked up the error which said it was a GD problem but you don't think that's the case since you know GD is installed?

We're checking on it now, We just moved the site to a new Host, and they told us that GD was installed, but now I'm not so sure.

Thanks,
Gary

You can create a file called phpinfo.php and fill it with this code:

Code: [Select]
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
then upload it and access it via a web browser.  If GD is installed, you will see it referenced.

@Andy: If I already have the GD Installed and I'm able to upload photos but it does not create the re-sized thumbnails.
Any clue what might be?

In your Joomla system information, try checking your directory permissions. There may be directories that are not writable that should be (such as "media/").
