Hi There,

I bought this extension the end of last year. I just got to give it a try.
Installation went very smoothly.

I have set my default to deny to all.

I set up a group A
I set up a role A1
I set up a function A2

I give them access to what I want

I had a user who was added using Joomla back-end MrX (he has an Administrator role in Joomla).

MrX became a member of A, with the role of A1 and the function set to A2.

I wanted MrX to be able to edit one custom_html module. Its id is 161.

Unless I set up the function with any action and any value which allows MrX to see all the modules including non Custom_html, I get the error "You are not authorised to view this resource". So basically I cannot fine tune what MrX can edit under the module manager. Either All or nothing.

I have tried every combination to no avail. I spent more than 3 hours trying but failed.

Where have I gone wrong? Please help me with a step by step.

For example in the configuration screen do I set up Administrator: to A A1 and A2 or leave to none.

At the Synchronization, which one to tick. I neither have Community Builder nor JomSocial.

At the Function Set Access what do I put exactly. Mind I did exactly what you wrote in the manual to no avail.

One final question, I do not understand the reason behind having to set access at both the Group Level and the Role level when the parameters are the same?

FYI, I am using the latest Joomla 1.5.x

Thank you, and I appreciate your response.

Ahmed
