Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie with Joomla and I am sure that I am doing something wrong.

I have installed com_wordpress_2.7.1.1.zip using the Install within Joomla 1.5.

I had received errors but after uninstalling, changing some permissions and dropping some tables in the db-- a reinstall resulted in no errors.

However, when I went to Components> WordPress -- I received a blank page.

The links that it brings me to is the following -- mydomain.dev/administrator/index.php?option=com_wordpress

I have seen other posts that discuss a redirect loop and tech support helped by cleaning out the tables, which is why I dropped all the jos_wp* tables before trying a clean reinstall.

Also, I noticed a post where the member stated that tech support corrected his TEMPLATEPATH but gave no further explanations or details.

Unfortunately this web site is still in development and, as a result, it is behind a firewall and I can not provide a link.

I would really like to get this going, because I'm sure that once I demonstrate to my boss that Joomla can work with WP, then he will be sold on putting it into production.

I've sent in a couple of trouble tickets. The first dealt with the errors that I had installing, but I was able to figure that out and the second one relates to this issue.

So I would appreciate any help from the community.

Thanx n advance

It looks like I was one step away from making everything work.

I had forgotten to move the wp-content directory within the joomlaroot/images/wordpress directory.

Once that was done, everything worked just fine.

I spoke to soon.

When I click on Settings sections within "de Blog," I again find the blank page.

What do I have to do now?

What was the resolution to this issue?

I'm sure others have run into it - and having the solution here would be helpful.

I don't remember what the fix was for this, but hwne you get a white page the best thing to find what the problem is to turn error reporting on. This will tell you what it is. It could be another module, a template. Mostly functions or constants in PHP that conflict from one extension to the other.

    • 'corePHP' - Web Development Services
Go to Joomla Global Configuration under the Server tab. You can turn on Error Reporting to high.
