Hi there,
I have been looking back at when I was a beginner and thinking about all  the things I struggled with. Finding all the correct code was one of the most annoying things and the most frustrating things I came across, so I created this snippet set so that I didn't have to search everywhere for the code. I still use it every day along with the CSS and PHP snippets sets I created.

I have heard from WAY too many people in your same position with the same frustrations, so I am working on a comprehensive document that will have every part of making a template from mock-up to final template with some nice advanced tricks as well once you are ready. I will also be including the template I create in the document in the package. My estimated time to get it done is about 3 weeks at the most. It will be a HUGE document. If you have any questions about making templates feel free to post here and I'll try to answer your questions.

@gtate2000

If you have issues with your order please use our helpdesk and place in your order number and information so that we can look it up and help further the process along the way. If this was through an e-check this normally takes a few days to a week.

I apologize for the delay. We have been getting pounded with work so the template making document has been delayed a bit. It's still moving forward, but there are only so many hours in a day. I will be releasing our new template framework first with a long line of templates to follow. Once we get a few out then I will finish the document.

Thanks!

Please let me know what you have questions on and I will do my best to get an answer to you. The snippets are for people who have a basic idea of how to make a Joomla! template, but need the proper code to implement. The snippets help save a lot of time by not having to refer to pages and pages of notes to find what you need. When you increase your skill level then you can use our more advanced snippets. The pdf gives you some ideas of how to use them. If you need more information just ask here and I will provide help.

Talk with you soon!

In regards to the question "Is this for beginners ?", what information would you recommend someone should know before taking on something like this ?

I have basic, and i mean basic, understandings of how joomla functions from within administrator.  As for the designing/creating side of it, i am still a bit green.  Is your product going to be suited for me, or should i look at some other joomla template tutorials/files ?

Thanks.

Regards
kolonel

We have been getting so many requests for help from beginners (and advanced) template developers that we are working on a new division to our website just for template developers. We will be starting a developers club with video help, developers blog, resources, and a special framework that we use to save a LOT of time developing. We welcome any requests, questions and suggestions. When our new site is launched we will be focusing on it fully. We have other surprises in the works as well.
