I recently set up a WordPress blog. Pretty easy and intuitive. Where you get stuck, a simple google will bring up hundreds of how to websites.

Now I'm setting up your Joomla plug in and the documentation is cryptic and assumes everyone knows what's what. Really poor. Or, perhaps there is documentation somewhere I can't find. I could understand bad documentation for a free product.

Really, there needs to be some step by step suggestions. Installation, setting up styles, integrating with catagories.

I've done some stuff so far, but every link is broken.  I have a live website with hundreds of pages and visitors.  I don't want to make the blog public until it works. I'm disappointed.

So far so bad! :(

The WordPress for Joomla component offers documentation in both PDF and video.

Also, you can always contact us via the ticket system if you have any problems.

I'll chime in because I have the same problem.

Just purchased the YouTube Module and downloaded the instructions.  Usually I can set something up without ever referring to the documentation; in this case not only did I have to refer to the documentation, but even after doing so I'm still stuck.

I like the beginning of the Installation Guide ("To install the YouTube Module, follow these steps:... Step 1), Step 2), etc.").

But then, all the documention does is say WHAT you can do... not HOW to do it.

Suggestions for improvement:

4).  From the Extensions Menu, select Modules
5).  Scroll down until you find the mod_youtube_channels module.
6).  To configure.... etc.

Then put step-by-step instructions there.

I've configured it correctly *I think* but my video is not displaying.  Why?  Who knows, but the troubleshooter in the back of the documentation is not that helpful.  It gives suggestions, but again -- doesn't say HOW to do so:

Example:  "Verify that there is nothing else loading jQuery."  (How?)
"Make sure that you have cleared the Joomla! Cache"  (How?)

Also, on the module itself, the following instructions appear:
"Choose to the Player type
And then Video ID, Playlist ID, Custom Player ID, or the Feed Options below."

Should all these fields be filled in?  Only one?  Which one?  I think I figured it out but it's not apparent... it should be step-by-step (i.e. "If you are using a single video, then select 'Single Video Player' and fill in ONLY the Video ID field...") or something similar.

I hope this helps!  Meanwhile, I'm off to find out why a big blank white space appears where my video should be...   :(
