Position yourself as an expert. This is a question that a lot of people are struggling to answer. After you think, feel and act as an expert, and after you have a unique perspective, it’s time to position yourself as an expert. Now you have your unique perspective but how can I know that you are a real expert? If you position yourself as an expert, you will gain a lot of customers and clients. Here are some steps to position yourself as THE go-to person in your area of expertise.
1. Show your story:
For every customer and client, they want to know who you are, and why they should listen. More importantly, they want to know how you are like them, how you struggled and overcame the obstacles you faced until you reached where you are now. This proves to your readers that you know their problem and you also know the solution for the problem. Share only the real story.
2- Be the authority in your niche:
au·thor·i·ty noun: the power to influence or command thought, opinion, or behavior. If you want to influence people and build a powerful business online, you need to be an authority. Authority makes you more important in the eyes of others, and also Google. This is the key to rank higher on Google. But how to establish yourself as an expert?
a- You need really high-quality content.
You must have content that demonstrates your expertise. High-quality content will build your authority and make you recognized by the big players in your niche. When you are recognized by big experts in your niche, they will link to your posts or at least tweet it. Not only will they send you a massive amount of traffic, but people will look to you as an expert because those big players link to you. d- Associate yourself with experts.
