jomDefender Increases Joomla Security

With Joomla! 2.5.5 released on Monday, and Joomla! 2.5.6 released shortly after, we felt it was important to talk about protecting your website, as 2.5.5 released to repair security flaws in the previous version. This brings to mind how we at ‘corePHP’ offer a great security product called jomDefender. jomDefender keeps your Joomla! applications secret and prevents attacks by letting you remove all known Joomla! identifiers from your site via a few, simple backend parameters edits.

Our jomDefender plugin adds extra protective layers to your Joomla website to keep it safe from attacks. It’s easy to install, easy to configure and even easier on your budget.

jomDefender also protects your site with additional security features, such as providing an extra admin login screen which forces hackers to guess two unique admin passwords, instead of one, front end & backend IP ban/blocking, and so much more.

If you are interested in adding jomDefender to your Joomla! site, please visit jomDefender for more information. Check out our demo to see it in action.

    I like JomDefender.
But you do realize that the statements above are simply not true. Joomla! 2.5.6 (see the release announcement here contained absolutely no security fixes – none at all. It was entirely focused on resolving technical bugs introduced into Joomla!
You would be correct in saying that Joomla! 2.5.5 (see the release announcement here corrected two security flaws, but 2.5.6 contained absolutely no security updates.
